1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Nathan Sottung Photography, LLC, doing business as Cue (“Company,” “Cue,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit shootwithcue.com (the “Site”) or purchase products from us (the “Services”). By using the Site or Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Company is based in the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States. If you are accessing the Site from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States.

2. Information We Collect

2.1  Information You Provide Directly

When you place an order, create an account, contact us, or sign up for communications, we collect information you voluntarily provide, which may include:

•      name;

•      email address;

•      billing address and other transaction details;

•      communications you send to us, including support requests and feedback.

2.2  Payment Information

Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe, Inc. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems. Payment card data is collected and processed directly by Stripe in accordance with its own privacy policy and applicable PCI-DSS standards. We receive only limited transaction data, such as the last four digits of the card, the card brand, and the transaction confirmation.

2.3  Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain information about your device and browsing activity, including:

•      IP address and general location derived from it;

•      browser type, operating system, and device identifiers;

•      pages visited, time spent on pages, and referring URLs;

•      cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 6).

We may receive information from third-party services that help us operate the Site and Services, including our website host (Squarespace), our payment processor (Stripe), and any email or analytics platforms we use from time to time.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the limited circumstances described below:

4.1  Service Providers

We share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, including website hosting (Squarespace), payment processing (Stripe), email delivery, and analytics. These providers are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us.

4.2  Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required to do so by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others, to investigate fraud, or to respond to a government request.

4.3  Business Transfers

If Company is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Order records are typically retained for a minimum of seven (7) years to satisfy tax, accounting, and audit requirements. You may request deletion of your information as described in Section 7, subject to our legal retention obligations.

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to operate, secure, and improve the Site. Cookies are small data files stored on your device. We use:

•      essential cookies, required for the Site and checkout to function;

•      analytics cookies, to understand how visitors use the Site and improve it;

7. Your Rights and Choices

7.1  Access, Correction, and Deletion

You may request to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you by contacting us at hello@shootwithcue.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.

7.2  Virginia Residents (VCDPA)

If you are a resident of the Commonwealth of Virginia, you have the right under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act to: (a) confirm whether we are processing your personal data; (b) access your personal data; (c) correct inaccuracies; (d) delete your personal data; (e) obtain a portable copy of your personal data; and (f) opt out of the processing of your personal data for purposes of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, or certain profiling. 7.3  California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a resident of California, you have the right to: (a) know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and (if applicable) sell; (b) request deletion of your personal information; (c) request correction of inaccurate personal information; and (d) opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. 7.4  EU and UK Residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right under the GDPR or UK GDPR to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. The legal bases on which we process your data include performance of a contract (to fulfill your order), legitimate interests (to operate and improve the Site), consent (where required, such as for marketing emails), and compliance with legal obligations. 7.5  Marketing Communications

If you receive marketing emails from us, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any marketing email or by contacting us. Transactional emails related to your order will continue regardless of marketing preferences.

8. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Site and Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 16 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that information promptly. Company is based in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using the Site, you consent to such transfer.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The version posted on this page, identified by the “Last revised” date at the top, governs our practices as of that date. Material changes will be communicated by updating the date and, where appropriate, by additional notice such as a Site banner or email. Your continued use of the Site or Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
